Pazhampori!!! ( Plaintain fritters)

This is quintessential snack of kerala!! Loved snack of most of the keralites❤️ Perfect evening snack!!

Below is the recipe for a bit crispy, soft and sweet pazhampori!!

Ingredients:

3-4 ripe Plaintains (Ethakya)

3/4-1 cup all purpose flour

3 Tbsp – Rice flour

1 Tbsp – Gram flour

1/4 tsp – Baking soda

Salt as per needed ( very less)

Sugar -2-3 tbsp ( Adjusted as per sweetness level)

Pinch of turmeric powder/ Yellow food colour

1 Tsp -Sesame seeds (Optional)

Water ( less than 3/4 cup)

Method:

* Slice the Plaintain into thin long strips or into half and slice into thin strips ( I was having a very thick Plaintain so I sliced it into 3 strips) – Keep aside!!

*For batter mix all the above ingredients, give a nice stir. Make sure the batter is neither too thin or thick consistency

* Dip each slice of Plaintain and carefully fry them medium heat oil. Gradually increase the flame and fry it until slightly golden in colour.

* Enjoy with a cup of tea!!
